QuoteShield

Privacy Policy

Effective 18 September 2026 · Last updated 20 September 2026

QuoteShield keeps records about your home improvement project — quotes, contractors, agreements, payments, photographs and notes. This policy describes where that information lives and who can see it. The answer is short: on your device, and you.

The short version. There is no account and no server of ours. Nothing you enter into QuoteShield is sent to us or to anyone else. The app has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no location access. The only network activity is Apple's or Google's own subscription check when you subscribe to, restore or the app re-checks QuoteShield Pro, and that goes to Apple or Google, not to us. When you share a report or a backup, it goes only where you send it.

1. Who we are

QuoteShield is published by Apex Root Solutions LLC ("we", "us"), a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Delaware, with its registered office in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware, and its principal place of business in Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas. You can reach us at support@apsoluts.com.

2. There is no account

QuoteShield has no sign-up, no login and no profile. We do not know who you are and hold no record about you. Everything the app stores — properties, projects, contractors, quotes, agreements, payments, change orders, milestones, punch lists, warranties, dispute records, documents, photographs and your settings — is written to the app's own storage on your device.

3. What stays on your device

All of it. The app's database and every attachment are stored in the app's private storage. Attachments are encrypted with a key held in your device's secure key store (the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore). If you turn on the optional password in Settings, that key is additionally wrapped with your password; there is no recovery path for it, because we never have it.

Times the app records (for example when you entered a note) come from your device's clock and are labelled as device-recorded. QuoteShield does not fetch time, prices, rates, addresses or contractor information from any service.

4. What leaves your device, and only when you choose

5. Device permissions

The app asks for the camera and photo library only when you choose to add a photograph or scan a document, for Face ID / fingerprint only if you choose to lock the app with it, and for notifications only if you ask to be reminded of a warranty date you entered. Every feature works if you decline: you can type instead of photographing, and a reminder date you entered stays on record without a notification. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no notification service of ours is involved.

6. What we do not collect

No analytics, no usage statistics, no crash reports, no advertising identifier, no location, no contacts, no device fingerprint, no diagnostics. Nothing in the app phones home.

7. Children

QuoteShield is a tool for adults managing a home project and is not directed at children under 13. Because it collects no personal data, no such data can be held about a child.

8. Your rights

Because the data exists only on your device, you exercise your rights directly: view it in the app, export it as a backup, correct it, or delete it. Deleting a record moves it to Recently Deleted for 30 days and then removes it permanently; deleting the app removes everything at once. If a law where you live gives you rights against us as a controller, write to us and we will respond — though in practice there is nothing on our side to produce or erase.

9. Changes

If the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update it and change the date at the top. The version in effect is the one published at this address.
