LinguaGo

Terms of Use

Effective 8 September 2026 · Last updated 8 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Apex Root Solutions LLC for the LinguaGo app. They cover what you may do with it, what a subscription buys, and — importantly for a translation app — what a machine translation can and cannot be relied on for.

1. Who you are contracting with

LinguaGo is published by Apex Root Solutions LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Delaware, with its registered office in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware, and its principal place of business in Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas. "We" and "us" mean that company; "you" means the person using the app. By installing or using LinguaGo you accept these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms.

3. Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use LinguaGo on devices you own or control, for your own purposes. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, reverse engineer it except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable where you live, or use it to build a competing service.

4. What a translation is, and is not

This section matters more than the rest.

LinguaGo produces machine translations, either from a model running on your device or from an AI model reached through our server. Machine translation is useful and it is not reliable. It can be fluent and wrong at the same time, which is the failure mode worth taking seriously: output that reads confidently while saying something the original did not.

Accordingly:

You are responsible for deciding whether a given translation is fit for what you are about to do with it.

5. Your content

The text, speech, photographs and documents you give LinguaGo remain yours. We claim no ownership of them and no right to use them for anything other than returning you a translation.

You grant us only the narrow licence needed to do that: to transmit your text to the AI providers described in the Privacy Policy and return the result, and — for short generic phrases only, while the shared-phrase setting is on — to store that phrase and its translation and reuse it for other users. That setting can be switched off, and the categories that are never cached are listed in the Privacy Policy.

You confirm you have the right to submit whatever you translate, and that doing so does not breach anyone else's rights or any confidentiality obligation you are under. If a document is not yours to send, do not send it.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use LinguaGo to break the law, to translate material that is unlawful to possess or distribute, to harass anyone, to attempt to extract or resell the underlying models, to circumvent the daily allowance or any other technical limit, or to make automated or bulk requests to our server outside normal use of the app. We may rate-limit, suspend or block access that damages the service or its cost to run.

7. Free tier and paid subscriptions

8. Availability and changes

Online translation depends on our server and on third-party AI providers, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may change the daily free allowance. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we will say so before it takes effect and you may cancel.

9. Ending this agreement

You may stop at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue LinguaGo. Sections that by their nature should survive — content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that translations will be accurate, complete or suitable for any particular purpose, or that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the app — including any loss arising from reliance on a translation. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for LinguaGo in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five United States dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the app, your breach of these terms, or content you submitted that you had no right to submit.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live, or of the right to bring proceedings there where such a right cannot be waived.

14. Apple

On Apple platforms, this agreement is between you and us, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for LinguaGo. Apple is not responsible for the app or for any claim relating to it, including product liability, any failure to conform to a legal requirement, or a third-party intellectual property claim; any such claim is our responsibility. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a United States embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on a prohibited-parties list.

15. Google Play

On Android, this agreement is between you and us, not with Google. Google is not responsible for the app or for any claim relating to it, and does not provide support for it. Your use of Google Play is governed by Google's own terms.

16. General

These terms are the entire agreement between us about LinguaGo. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement; we may assign it to a successor in connection with a merger or sale of the business. We may update these terms, and will change the date at the top when we do; continuing to use the app after a material change means you accept it.
