Covenant
Effective 6 September 2026 · Last updated 6 September 2026
Covenant is a marriage-intent dating app published by Apex Root Solutions LLC. This policy describes the app as it actually behaves, not as a category of app generally behaves. Where we do something unusual — with your genotype, your location, or your messages — it is written out in full rather than folded into a general clause.
The short version. Covenant needs an account, because it introduces you to other people. We hold your profile, your conversations and your verification records. Your genotype is health information: it is private by default, never shown on your profile, never used to filter who sees you, and never disclosed to another member — not even to a partner who has agreed to a compatibility check with you. Your location is held and shown at city level only; your exact position is never shared with another member. We do not sell your data, we do not advertise to you, and we do not build a profile of you for anyone else's purposes.
Covenant is published by Apex Root Solutions LLC ("we", "us"), a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Delaware, with its registered office in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware, and its principal place of business in Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
Contact us at support@apsoluts.com for any question about this policy, or to exercise any right described in section 10.
Covenant is for adults seeking marriage. You may not create or hold an account if you are under 18. We collect your date of birth at sign-up and refuse accounts below that age. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor we close it and delete the data, and you can tell us at support@apsoluts.com if you believe one exists.
Religion, denomination, how important faith is to you, whether you would consider someone of a different faith, and — if you choose to give it — where you worship. Religious belief is sensitive information. You control whether it appears on your profile, is used only for matching, or is kept private.
Your haemoglobin genotype, and any health preferences you record. This is health information and it is treated differently from everything else in the app. Section 5 describes exactly what we do and do not do with it.
If you verify your identity, we collect a live selfie and, for identity verification, an image of a government identity document. Identity documents are stored separately from your profile and are never returned by the ordinary profile interfaces that serve other members. They are used to confirm you are who you say you are and are not shown to anyone you match with.
If you add a trusted contact or a family sponsor you give us their name, relationship to you, phone number and sometimes an email address. That is somebody else's personal data, and you should have their agreement before you enter it. We use it only to contact them for the purpose you chose, and they can ask us to remove it.
Device and notification tokens so we can deliver notifications, and a minimal set of product analytics events. Those events carry identifiers and fixed categories — that a message was sent, that a paywall was shown, which capability was locked. They never carry anything you wrote.
In Nigeria a couple's genotype combination is a question that has to be settled before a marriage, and settled early. Covenant asks for it so it can be useful to you at the right moment. Because it is health information about you, we bind ourselves to the following and treat them as commitments, not preferences.
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Creating and running your account | Performance of our contract with you |
| Showing you to compatible people, and them to you | Performance of our contract with you |
| Delivering your messages and calls | Performance of our contract with you |
| Faith, genotype and health information | Your explicit consent, which you may withdraw |
| Verification and fraud prevention | Our legitimate interest in a community that is who it says it is |
| Investigating reports and keeping members safe | Our legitimate interest, and our legal obligations |
| Billing and subscription management | Performance of our contract with you |
| Product analytics | Our legitimate interest in knowing which parts of the app work |
Where we rely on consent — for faith, genotype and health information — you can withdraw it at any time in the app under Settings › Data & privacy. Withdrawing consent stops future use. It does not by itself erase what we already hold; to remove that, request deletion under section 10.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We may disclose data where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone from harm.
Reports are confidential. A member you report is never told who reported them.
When you block someone, they can no longer message you, call you, see your status, or find you in discovery — through any part of the app. Your conversation with them is kept but becomes read-only.
We keep conversations so that a report can be investigated, including after a subscription lapses. A relationship that later becomes a safety matter should not be unprovable because someone stopped paying.
You can, from inside the app under Settings › Data & privacy:
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict our use of your data, to receive it in a portable form, and to complain to your data protection authority. In Nigeria that is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Write to support@apsoluts.com and we will answer within the period your law allows.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to member data is limited to staff who need it. Our application logs are built to redact message content, phone numbers, verification codes, access tokens and document numbers, so that sensitive values are not written into logs even by accident.
No system is perfect. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
We are based in the United States and our service providers may be elsewhere. Where we move personal data out of the country you live in, we do it under the safeguards your law provides for — standard contractual clauses, or an equivalent mechanism.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
