You can delete your Berean Scroll account yourself, in the app, at
any time. It takes effect at once.
In the app
- Open the Library tab and scroll to Account.
- Tap Signed in as ….
- Under Your data, tap Delete my account and confirm.
The steps are the same on iPhone, iPad and Android. If you want a copy first,
tap Export my data on the same screen before you delete.
Without the app
Write to support@apsoluts.com from
the email address the account uses, and say you want it deleted. We will reply to
that address to confirm the request comes from you, then delete the account
within 7 days and tell you when it is done.
What is deleted
Straight away: your account (email address, password hash, handle, age band and
plan), every signed-in session, your synced notes and study material, the members
you blocked, your community memberships, and invitations you sent.
What is kept, and why
- Posts, comments and course work you shared with others stay
where you put them, because removing them would remove part of other people's
conversations. They are no longer linked to you and show as written by
Deleted account. To remove one, delete it in the app before you delete
the account.
- A community you founded stays for its members.
- Security records of what was done (for example, that an
account signed in) are kept without the content of anything you wrote.
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us.
Deleting your account does not cancel one: cancel it in your App Store or
Google Play account settings.
- Backups. Our database host keeps backups for up to 7 days, so
deleted data can remain in a backup for up to 7 days. If we ever restore one,
we delete again any account deleted after it was taken.
What is not affected
Anything kept only on your device, such as notes you never synced, stays on
your device. Deleting the app removes it.
The Privacy Policy covers everything we hold and
why.
