LifeOS Finance

LifeOS Finance is a personal finance planning app published by Apex Root Solutions LLC. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device, what it sends if you choose to link a bank or card, and what happens to anything it sends. It describes the app as it actually behaves.
The short version. No account is required. Budgets, goals, debts, insurance records and every other figure you enter by hand stay on your device. Bank and card linking is a separate, optional feature, off until you turn it on, and read-only when you do. There is no advertising, no analytics of any kind, and we never sell your information. The app cannot move money — it has no ability to make a payment, a transfer or a trade.
LifeOS Finance is published by Apex Root Solutions LLC ("we", "us"), a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Delaware, with its registered office in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware, and its principal place of business in Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
Contact us at support@apsoluts.com for any question about this policy, or to exercise any right described in section 8.
The following are created and stored locally, and are not transmitted to us unless you link a bank or card (section 3):
Where you record information about another household member — a partner, a dependent, someone whose insurance or property you track — you are responsible for having the right to do so. That information is stored on your device the same as your own.
Linking is a separate feature, off by default. With it off, the app sends nothing anywhere on its own. Turning it on lets you connect a bank or card through Plaid, Inc., which we use as our processor for this feature only.
| What happens | What is sent | What is kept, and where |
|---|---|---|
| You start linking | A request for a short-lived Plaid link_token |
Nothing about you yet. The token is created by our server and used only to open Plaid's own connection screen. |
| You sign in at your bank inside Plaid's screen | Your bank credentials, entered directly into Plaid's interface — never seen by the app or by us | Held by Plaid and by your bank, under Plaid's own privacy policy, linked above. |
| Linking completes | A one-time token, exchanged by our server for ongoing read access to the accounts you approved | Our server stores that access grant, the linked institution's name, and a sync position, for as long as the connection stays linked. It never sends the access grant itself back to your device. |
| The app shows your accounts and transactions | A request from your device to our server | Our server asks Plaid for your current balances and transactions and relays them to your device. We do not keep a separate copy of your transaction history or balances on our server. |
Linking is read-only. The app requests transaction and balance data only — never a Plaid product that could move money, and never Plaid's payment or transfer products. Disconnect a linked institution at any time from Accounts & Cash; doing so revokes the access grant and deletes it from our server.
The Copilot answers questions about your finances by running the same deterministic calculations the rest of the app uses on your own figures — it does not send your data to a third-party AI or language-model provider. Its answers are shown alongside the source figures they came from.
The AI memory dashboard lets you view, edit, disable or delete anything the Copilot has remembered about your preferences. It is stored on your device. Using it to personalise answers, and any broader use of your data to improve the product, are both governed by settings you control and are off by default where the app describes them as opt-in.
Reminders — bills due, budget variance, goal milestones, unusual activity — are scheduled on your device from your own data. Nothing about them is sent to us. You control which categories notify you, and how much they show on a lock screen. Security notifications cannot be turned off, because something reaching your accounts is worth being told about regardless of your other preferences.
LifeOS Finance is not directed to children and is not designed for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child. A household's own records may name a minor — a dependent, for instance — entered by an adult user; that is the adult's data, about their household, kept under section 2. If you believe a child has given us personal data directly, write to support@apsoluts.com and we will delete it.
Data in transit to and from our server is encrypted with TLS. Plaid access grants are held only on our server, never on your device, and never in a backup you control. We keep a linked institution's access grant and sync position for as long as it stays linked, and delete both when you disconnect it or when Plaid reports the connection has been revoked at your bank.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. The app having no account and no server copy of your entered data limits what a breach of our systems could expose; it does not protect your device itself if it is lost, stolen, or unlocked in someone else's hand.
You can access, correct, export and delete your data. Data you entered by hand can be edited or deleted directly in the app, and exported from Settings. To have us delete a Plaid access grant and anything associated with it on our server, disconnect the institution in the app, or write to support@apsoluts.com.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (the features you use), legitimate interests (security, reliability, preventing abuse), and consent where we ask for it. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are used in California law.
We operate from Texas, in the United States, and data we process is processed in the United States. Plaid may process linking data in other countries under its own policy. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
